DUOMAX is a unique patented combination of Paracetamol 500mg and Ibuprofen 150mg, two tried and trusted active ingredients that work together in different, yet complementary ways to help relieve pain.
DUOMAX was developed as an alternative for pain relief than other combination painkillers containing codeine, and as a better, faster form of pain relief than either Paracetamol or Ibuprofen alone; the two most common pain relief medications used around the world.

Is there codeine in DUOMAX?
No, there is no codeine in DUOMAX. Codeine is often used to amplify the effect of pain relief in other combination pain relief products, but as a member of the opiate family it has the potential for misuse. Health authorities around the world have expressed concerns about this issue, and so DUOMAX was formulated without codeine.
How should I take DUOMAX?
Take 1–2 tablets with a full glass of water.
Repeat the dose every 6 hours, as required, up to a maximum of 6 tablets in 24 hours. Do not use for more than 3 days except on the advice of your doctor.
DUOMAX should not be combined with any other Paracetamol or Ibuprofen containing medicines.
What should I do if I forget to take my DUOMAX dose on time?
If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take your next dose when you are meant to. Otherwise, take it as soon as you remember, and then go back to taking your tablets as you would normally.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If you are not sure whether to skip the dose, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Is DUOMAX suitable for children?
DUOMAX is NOT recommended for children under 18 years of age.
Can I take DUOMAX if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking DUOMAX.
Can I take DUOMAX if I am allergic to Aspirin?
DUOMAX contains Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. DUOMAX should not be used if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

DUOMAX is indicated for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain such as Headache, Migraine headache, Toothache, Pain from dental procedures, Muscular pain, Back pain, Rheumatic pain, Arthritis, Tennis elbow and Period Pain. If your pain persists, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Can I take DUOMAX if I am taking any other medicine(s)?
It is important to check the ingredients of any medicines you buy with or without a prescription before taking them in combination with DUOMAX. Do not take DUOMAX with any other products that contain Paracetamol or Ibuprofen. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are on other medication before taking DUOMAX.
Can I take too many tablets of DUOMAX?
An overdose of Paracetamol or Ibuprofen, the active ingredients used in DUOMAX, is dangerous and capable of causing serious side effects. You should never exceed the dose stated in the patient information leaflet supplied with this medicine. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose with this medicine, even if you feel well.
